OK. So. As a blogger, I must admit that I’m a total failure. I haven’t posted to this thing in like a year, and before that nobody was reading anyway. But here’s the thing: I am growing increasingly…

Every now and then you hear a phrase that is so perfect, you know you’ll be using it for the rest of your life. Now we have a way of measuring units of basketball futility: the trillion.

Poor David Gray. I mean, it’s a boring song, but jeez.
Thank god, the dog will not kill us.
Myth: Leave the puppy love to the dogs. Fact: Typically doggie kisses are not a cause for concern, but it’s always best to wash up after being slobbered on by any animal. If the dog is unknowingly infected with parasites, they can be found inside the pooch’s mouth. Besides, you can’t be sure what Fido last licked. There have been relatively few studies, but it appears doggy kisses are...

Some Random Super Bowl Thoughts...
Before the postseason, the Giants were 1-6 against teams that made it to the playoffs, with only a Week 3 win against the Redskins to their name (that was repaid by a 22-10 pasting later in the season). That included bad losses to Packers and Cowboys, and a close one in Week 17 to the Patriots. That makes their run through the postseason just that much more inconceivable. Jared Lorenzen set...

This is, quite simply, by far the best treatment of the state of the industry that I’ve read. Its implications are pretty dire if you work for a major label… but for everyone else it should be pretty exciting.

Shopping for a kitchen table, this caught my eye. According to the fine print, it’s a table “from football legend John Elway”. Now I’m strongly considering just hiring an interior decorator - obviously I have no idea what I’m doing.

Fascinating poll results about liberals, moderates, and conservatives. The practical upshot seems to be that neither the liberal nor conservative groups are large enough on their own to be single-mindedly targeted, and moderates think much differently than both groups - mainly because they’re less interested in politics…
"When things go wrong, simplify."
That is a beautiful quote. Sure, its’ from a cheesy fitness website, but it really applies just about everywhere, doesn’t it?

Your video sucks
My gym has a special channel on the treadmills that I refer to as “gym MTV” - it’s like MTV, except that they show music videos. Every now and then I check it out to see what I’m missing while listening to music of my own choosing on the ol’ iPod. Today, there were three videos in a row that employed this device: Whenever a harmony came up in the song, a second lead...

This site is apparently going to offer predictive travel ticket sales, with - really - refunds if the price goes up after you purchase the ticket. The catch, though, is that this is apparently already a rule that the airlines subscribe to voluntarily. So, what’s the over/under on that rule getting changed, and Yapta’s fifteen minutes being over?
